Free tools that run in your browser

Small tools we built for our own team and gave away. Every one does its work on your machine. The file you choose never leaves it, because there is no server on the other end.

Carousel splitter

Cut a wide image into 2–10 swipeable slides at 1:1, 4:5, 9:16 or 1.91:1. Correct pixel sizes, numbered in swipe order, downloaded as one archive instead of ten separate prompts.

YouTube title, description & tag checker

100 characters, 5,000 bytes and 500 combined tag characters, counted the way YouTube's own API counts them, including the quoting rule that makes a tag with a space cost two extra characters.

Caption length checker

One caption measured against nine real caps at once, from X's 280 (25,000 with X Premium) to Facebook's 63,206. The numbers are the ones our own publishing code refuses a post against, not ones copied off a listicle.

TikTok safe zone checker

Drop a frame or a 9:16 still and see exactly what TikTok, Reels and Shorts cover with their buttons, caption and profile rail cover. The overlays are measured from the real interfaces, so a caption you can read here is a caption people can read there.

What they are, and why they are free

We built them for our own team. Hermoso runs marketing on autopilot: it researches the ads already running in a market, generates finished video and image ads with your real product and copy, and publishes them. The small mechanical jobs around that work kept sending us to sites buried in ads and sign-up walls, so we wrote our own and left them open.

There is no upsell inside a tool, no watermark to pay to remove and no “sign up to download”. If you never click through to the product, the tools still work, forever. The honest version of the funnel is that people who need to split an image for a grid also, sometimes, need ads made.

Each one is deliberately narrow: it does its single job and stops. Writing the copy, scoring the creative, generating the video and posting it are what Hermoso itself does, and that part is the paid product.

What runs where

The image tools are a canvas in your browser. Your file is read with the browser’s file reader, drawn once into a full-resolution working canvas, sliced, and encoded back to JPG or PNG for download. There is no network request in the path, so they work offline once the page has loaded, and a photo you would not email to a stranger is safe to open in them.

Two consequences worth knowing. A very large source image can exhaust the browser’s canvas budget (Safari answers that by handing back a blank white image rather than an error), so the tools step the export resolution down before that happens and say so under the preview. And nothing works with JavaScript disabled, because there is no server to fall back to; you get a message saying so rather than dead controls.

The ad and social searches are the tools that leave this site: each hands what you type to the Hermoso app, where the search runs.

The text tools are counters and the link builder is a form. They hold no state, save nothing and send nothing. The caption caps come from the same constants Hermoso’s publishing code enforces at schedule time, each of which has its own page here explaining the channel’s rules in full. Start at the social media scheduler.

What Hermoso does, if you want the rest

Hermoso is the paid product these came out of: marketing on autopilot, driven from a browser or from any AI agent over an MCP server. It pulls the ads already winning in your market from the Meta, Google and LinkedIn ad libraries, plans a concept against your real brand, renders finished video and image ads across 100+ models, and schedules or publishes them to eleven social channels. If you want to see the research half first, Ad Spy is the place to start; for creative, the AI UGC ad generator and the AI video ad maker.

Frequently asked questions

Are these tools actually free?

Yes, with no account, no watermark, no export limit and no trial. They are static pages of JavaScript hosted alongside the rest of the site, so they cost us almost nothing to run and there is nothing to meter. The paid product is Hermoso itself, which makes and publishes the ads; the tools are here because the people who need them overlap with the people who need that.

Is my photo or caption uploaded anywhere?

No. There is no upload, no analytics event carrying your content and no server call in any tool. The image tools read your file with the browser's own file reader and work on it in a canvas element on your machine; the text tools count characters in the page. You can confirm it by opening your browser's network tab while you use one, or by disconnecting from the internet after the page has loaded. Everything still works.

Do I need an account to use them?

No, and there is nowhere to make one from inside a tool. Nothing is saved between visits either, which is the trade-off: close the tab and the tool forgets everything, because there is no server holding it.

Can I use the output commercially?

Yes. The tools do not add anything to your image and claim nothing over it. They crop, slice and re-encode a file you already own. Whatever rights you had in the source image, you still have in the pieces.

Do they work on a phone?

Yes. The image tools accept a photo from the camera roll and the downloads land in your device's downloads folder, though a multi-file archive is easier to handle on a desktop. Mobile browsers also have a smaller canvas budget, so a very large photo may be exported at a slightly lower resolution. The tool tells you when that happens rather than shipping a blank file.

What if a tool does not load or does nothing?

The tools need JavaScript, because all the work happens in your browser and there is no server-side fallback. With scripting blocked you will see a message where the tool should be. If scripting is on and a tool still does not start, it says so in place rather than failing silently, and the written specifications on each page are still worth having.
